Our Transportation Task Force works to identify the ever changing needs and challenges of transportation for the residents of Wayne County. Having transportation infrastructure that supports a broad and diverse range of, present and future, needs is paramount to the vibrance of our community.

Transportation Goals:
Increase availability of accessible and affordable public transportation;
Continue assessing the county’s transportation needs, at all levels;
Identify gaps between needs and resources;
Analyze how transportation or its lack effect youth education and employment opportunities;
Examine how ride share programs can be utilized in rural Wayne County;
Determine what metrics can and should be used to measure the progress of the county’s transportation needs.
