How it Works
This all-digital Summer Scavenger Hunt endeavors to provide families, both residents and visitors alike, with a list of no-cost or low-cost activities and events throughout Wayne Couty. It also hopes to familiarize families with some of the important community services in the region.
This free, summer-long activity will take your family to interesting and intriguing places all over the county and the neighborhood. Your mission is to visit as many locations as possible. Take a family selfie to show you were there and earn prizes.
Join us at The Cooperage Project on Tuesday, June 13, from 4 to 6 pm for the Kick-Off Event. Stop by for activities and snacks and take your first selfie to get started. All those who attend will be entered into a drawing for a family pass to the Honesdale Pool.
Then spend your summer visiting locations, attending events and generally learning a lot of cool stuff about our beautiful county. Don't forget that selfie. You will need it for the Grand Finale!
On Saturday, July 29, come to Honesdale's Central Park from 10 am to 12 noon for an Ice Cream Social. That's when you show us your Scavenger Hunt selfies to earn raffle tickets to win a gift card to a local restaurant.
You will receive one ticket for every five locations or events you visit and an additional ticket for showing a social media post with our #WT!Summer tagline.
